To secure shelf space in Wegmans is roughly the equivalent of the Holy Grail for any local company. When Rootstock, a local cidery with a popular new brand in the hard cider space, was notified of their inclusion in Wegmans stores, Linchpin Strategy called us in to help. Rootstock needed a clean, fresh site to introduce their handcrafted product to a wider audience, and ultimately compete with other brands for in-store recognition and consideration game. Our thinking: Focus on the unique fact that their hard cider has only 2 ingredients, and give the site a genuine, local/farmstead craft feel. Their customers’ thinking: Delicious.
